Olympics are Over!

As I remind my weekly blogviewers, I am currently busy preparing for school still so this post may seem somewhat short.

So, I'm sure many people watched the Olympics throughout the last couple weeks. I'm not really a big fan of the Olympics compared to other people in my family. I just find it interesting that everyone that wants to compete gathers in one area in the world to play different sports.

Are they really sports? I mean, water polo?! More like sticking a soccer ball in the water and hitting it around! Is that really even a sport? If so, how come I've never heard of it? Some of these so-called "sports" just don't seem like actual sports to me. Here's a video of people in the Olympics playing water polo in case you have no idea what I am talking about.

Kind of a strange sport if you ask me. Another part of the Olympics is the opening and closing ceremony. I watched bits and pieces of the opening ceremony, which I have to say was somewhat boring and overrated. It was just people in costumes dancing around for half the time. Then came the closing ceremony which I found fun to watch.

During the closing ceremony, many people were performing, but what really amused me was the Spice Girls' appearance on stage singing a mix of their songs titled "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life." I originally knew the Spice Girls from their song "Wannabe," but when they were performing and I noticed that they mixed another song, which I discovered was called "Spice Up Your Life," I could not believe how incredibly catchy that song is just like "Wannabe!" I liked their reunion and their performance. To listen to their performance at the olympics, click below.

Anyways, my queston for the week is...

What did you think of the London 2012 Olympic Games?
